People fell ill after consuming khichdi distributed as a prasad among the devotees
November 23, 2023: More than 50 people have fallen ill due to food poisoning in Golakganj, Assam on Thursday.
Reportedly, people fell ill after consuming khichdi during the Jagadhatri Puja celebration which was held at Satrashala Senapara Temple. The khichdi was distributed as a prasad among the devotees.
As per reports, people have suffered stomach pain and vomiting. However, the sick persons are currently undergoing treatment at Agomani Hospital.
